The Watershed Conference is an annual educational and networking event on topics related to watershed health in New Jersey. In February 2023, we welcomed hundreds of attendees for a conference about stormwater and New Jersey’s new MS4 requirements. Our audience included state, municipal, and county officials and staff, nonprofit organizations, environmental professionals, and the general public. The Watershed Conference will offer sessions that will increase knowledge and skills, encourage discussions between stakeholders, and foster collaboration on specific issues and potential solutions. Our theme this year is regional/watershed planning, a collaborative strategy to address the impacts of climate change and to restore clean and healthy habitats. To address complex issues, we must work together to manage watersheds in a way best suited to their natural geography, beyond political boundaries.
