The Upper Delaware Council is sponsoring the first land-based, river valley wide "Upper Delaware Litter Sweep" on April 17-25 surrounding Earth Day 2021. Litter Leaders are assembling teams of volunteers to pick up trash throughout that period in the New York Towns of Hancock, Fremont, Delaware, Cochecton, Tusten, Highland, Lumberland, and Deerpark; and the Pennsylvania Townships of Damascus, Berlin, Lackawaxen, Shohola and Westfall. Participants will receive a commemorative t-shirt featuring original artwork designed by Dan Nelson of Happy Tattoo in Honesdale, PA; supplies to use including safety equipment, bags, and pickers; and disposal information for their collected trash.
