PPA Presents: Creating a Truly Inclusive Outdoors, Online

The staff of the Pinelands Preservation Alliance must understand how structural racism impacts the way we do our work and the way in which People of Color experience the outdoors in New Jersey and the Pinelands, to help create a more inclusive environment.

That’s why they are hosting Lamar Gore, Refuge Manager at John Heinz National Wildlife Refuge and Dr. Ryan Rebozo, Director of Conservation Science at Pinelands Preservation Alliance as facilitators for a community conversation about how race affects where and how nature is experienced by Black, Indigenous, and People of Color in New Jersey.

This virtual town hall over Zoom will be a candid conversation about inequities in the access, resources, and opportunities available due to structural racism.  Zoom link will be sent after you register. Register online here.

Please tune in to share your experiences and perspectives about using outdoor spaces in New Jersey and your ideas for how to work together for justice and equity in our shared environment.
