Are you looking to add sustainable habits to your lifestyle? You're in luck! Learn how to compost waste you already have into rich soil for planting.

The Monroe County Municipal Waste Management Authority and Pocono Heritage Land Trust are co-sponsoring a Backyard Composting Basics Workshop on March 14 at the Brodhead Creek Heritage Center, 1539 Cherry Lane in East Stroudsburg, PA from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m.

Composting is a great way to recycle your fruit and vegetables scraps, coffee grounds, egg shells, grass clippings, leaves and much, much more. Composting food waste will reduce waste, lower disposal costs, and save valuable landfill space.

Workshop participants will learn the “do’s and don’ts” of composting.
