Abbott Marshlands “Virtual” Clean Up, Hamilton, NJ

Come and join in the Annual Abbott Marshlands Clean Up! With every rainstorm, multiple storm drains from nearby residential and commercial areas drain water directly into the Marshlands bringing with it a collection of roadside trash. The Abbott Marshlands are freshwater tidal marshlands that drain directly into the Delaware River, carrying any trash within to the river.

By participating in this clean up you will help remove trash and waste directly from the marshlands and from the Delaware River, ensuring a healthier habitat for wildlife and for people! This year to ensure social distancing and proper COVID19 safety measures we are going to employ a virtual cleanup.

What is a virtual clean up? Instead of everyone meeting up at one location at one time, this clean up is going to be spread over 10 days and multiple locations, and it will be up to each person/ small group to decide where and when they go out to clean up!
