Do you live in the Lehigh Valley and care about water quality? Do you want to learn how you can get more involved in protecting clean water? Become a Water Defender with the Sierra Club Pennsylvania Chapter at this monthly meeting!
The Delaware River Watershed, spanning Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York and Delaware continues to face new and ongoing challenges every day including erosion and flooding, industrial development, and fracking pressures. By working collectively, residents of the watershed can have a measurable impact, and improve the water quality and habitat for present and future generations. Clean water needs YOUR voice!
Here in the Lehigh Valley, the Sierra Club is building a grassroots network of Water Defenders to advocate for protecting the Lehigh River and its tributaries. Water Defenders are a network of grassroots advocates working in our local communities focused on advocating for the protection of clean water in the Delaware River Watershed.
Come build advocacy, outreach, and leadership skills; explore your local waterways; and connect with other Water Defenders in your community. Join in for socializing, pizza, and clean water advocacy at Illick's Mill in Bethlehem, PA!
