Join the PA Chapter of The Sierra Club for a night of socializing and discussion of clean water advocacy in the Delaware River Watershed!
Do you care about clean water as a resident of the Delaware River Watershed and want to see it protected? Get involved locally and become a Water Defender with the Sierra Club! Join the organization for their monthly meetings on the 2nd Thursday of the month from 6:30 - 8 pm!
Come out for socializing, pizza, and clean water advocacy! Food and drinks will be provided. As this meeting takes place on Valentine's Day, Sierra Club does encourage you to bring something chocolatey!
The Challenge:
The Delaware River Watershed, spanning four states -- Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York and Delaware -- continues to face new and ongoing challenges every day including erosion, flooding impacts, industrial development, and fracking pressures. By working together, residents of the watershed can have a real impact, and improve the water quality and habitat for present and future generations.
The Solution:
The Sierra Club is building a grassroots network of Water Defenders to advocate for protecting the Delaware River and its tributaries. Be a part of the movement! Come build advocacy, outreach, and leadership skills, explore your local waterways, and connect with water advocates in your community.
