The Delaware Center for the Inland Bays is hosting a Grant Writing Workshop on Friday, October 25th from 9AM-noon. This workshop is intended for those who work with local communities in the Inland Bays watershed and neighboring watersheds and will focus on grants for environmental protection projects.

Author and grant writing expert Valerie Mann will kick off the workshop by sharing her knowledge on how to search for grant opportunities and tips for writing successful grants. Then, we will have representatives from local agencies and organizations discuss some of their available funding opportunities and will be available for Q&A.

This workshop will deliver tools and knowledge to those needing grant writing experience in the hopes that municipalities and local communities become more successful at obtaining funding for projects.

Valerie Mann is the author of the book Getting Your Share of the Pie-The Complete Guide to Finding Grants and has written approximately 800 grant applications which have yielded more than $160,000,000 for her clients.
