Delaware River Basin Clean Up, Philadelphia, PA

Join Philly Seaport's River Ambassadors for a river cleanup to help keep the Delaware River clean for fish, fowl and fun on Saturday, August 11, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Volunteers will be provided with materials courtesy of the Philly Seaport Museum and United By Blue to pick up debris from the Penn's Landing boat basin, including gloves, nets, grabbers, and trash bags. This is a FREE volunteer event but registration in advance is appreciated so we can plan accordingly for the number of volunteers.

While cleaning up the river, limited free boat rentals will be available from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., on a first-come, first-serve basis. Boats will be great tools to help assist with the river cleanup. River Ambassadors and staff will be on hand to assist with boats as needed.

Please reserve your spot online here, or contact Mayci Shimon, River Alive! Programs Coordinator, at 215-413-8665 or mshimon@phillyseaport.org.
