You're going to want some boots for this trip! Teachers will check out one of Partnership for the Delaware Estuary's living shorelines at Delaware's Mispillion Harbor. Learn from Dr. Josh Moody, PDE's Senior Restoration Coordinator, about the benefits of living shorelines, oyster restoration, and climate change impact on coastal communities. We'll stop in the DuPont Nature Center before heading up to the St. Jones Reserve, a National Estuarine Research Reserve, for an afternoon of Next Generation Science Standards. Take a walk around their beautiful property after the workshop for some reflection and exploration.
