Be part of the 47th annual Creek Clean Up of the Wissahickon Creek and its many tributaries. Help WVWA clean up the trail and the creek bed too.
Volunteers are pre-assigned to sections of the Creek and trail. WVWA will supply you with a map of your section, the appropriate number of bags and the location of where you should deposit the trash for pick-up by the local municipalities. Canoes are also needed to help clean the deeper parts of the creek.
Contact WVWA to volunteer - fill out form below or contact Lindsay Blanton at lindsay@wvwa.org or 215-646-8866.
Volunteers can pick-up their bags ahead of time at WVWA’s headquarters the week prior to the event from 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
This program is great for families, scout, school groups and anyone who loves the environment and clean water.
Picnic
Following the clean up, the Wissahickon Valley Watershed Association (WVWA) and Friends of the Wissahickon (FOW) invite all of the participants to join us at the “Talkin’ Trash” picnic to satisfy appetites and share stories.
