Green Infrastructure Certification, Pennington, NJ

The Watershed Institute is collaborating on a two-day Green Infrastructure Certification with the Chesapeake Bay Landscape Professional organization on Feb. 6-7. Registration is required in advance so please file the application by Monday, February 3.

This training is a new, voluntary credential for professionals who design, install, and maintain sustainable landscapes in New Jersey and in the surrounding areas. The Watershed Institute and CBLP’s active learning program engages participants to develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and collaborative practice skills. This is especially important  given the recent adoption of new policies in New Jersey that require developers to use green infrastructure as the primary means of managing stormwater.

The training consists of a two-day class that combines classroom learning about conservation landscaping (native plants, natural communities, habitat, soils, invasives management) and stormwater best management practices (BMPs), with a field-based maintenance practicum. The class also covers BMP inspection and verification protocols.

The $450 fee includes training and materials, lunch, webinars, and the certification exam. To register and for more event information, please click here.
