Please join Clean Ocean Action's 34th Annual Spring Beach Sweeps and help clean up the NJ shorelines!
Since launching the region's first Beach Sweeps program in 1985, 133,390 volunteers have participated and removed 6,742,941 pieces of debris from NJ's beaches and waterways. The goal of COA's bi-annual Beach Sweeps is to reduce and eliminate sources of litter by engaging thousands of dedicated volunteers - the small and the tall - to remove debris and record and calculate data about the debris. The data collected provides a legacy of information that can be used to identify sources of pollution, monitor trends, and discover solutions.
