Golden Eagles of New York, Narrowsburg, NY

The Delaware Highlands Conservancy will be hosting a free presentation at 7 Erie Ave., Narrowsburg, New York, 12764 on Nov. 25th. Peg DiBenedetto of the Eastern Golden Eagle Project will discuss the population of winter resident Golden Eagles of New York State. Although considered an endangered species, and recognized only as migrants through New York, very little was known about their natural history until very recently. With the use of telemetry, the Appalachian Eagle Project has proven their resident status and has begun to piece together the local flight habits and migratory behavior of these magnificent birds. More details about the presentation can be found on the Delaware Highlands website.
