MS4 Webinar Series: How to Safeguard Clean Water in Your Community, Part 1 of 3

Join this series of workshops on managing stormwater runoff to protect streams and ensure clean water in urban or developing municipalities. Presented by: Brodhead Watershed Association, American Rivers, and Pennsylvania Environmental Council; with a guest presentation by the Monroe County Conservation District.

As an introduction to the series, this session will focus on regulatory drivers of stormwater management in Pennsylvania, with an overview of how stormwater is addressed federally under the Clean Water Act, followed by a detailed look at the history and requirements of Pennsylvania’s Stormwater Management Act (Act 167) and Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4) permit program. Requirements for developing Pollution Reduction Plans—a relatively new aspect of MS4 compliance for municipalities with impaired waters— will also be covered in detail. Register here.
